Matias Giuliani (1975) terminó las licenciaturas en composición y dirección coral en la Universidad Católica Argentina hacia fines de 2002. Paralelamente realizó estudios de manera privada con Francisco Kröpfl y principalmente con Jorge Sad. 
Actualmente dicta clases en el Postitulo en Música Contemporánea del Conservatorio Superior de Musica Manuel de Falla, en la Universidad Nacional de Lanus y en el Conservatorio de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, en donde creo el ciclo de conciertos y masterclasses sobre musica academica experimental www.contemporaneaciudad.com.ar .

Desde fines de 2009, es el director artístico del ENSAMBLE LEMC www.lemc.com.ar ,

Sus obras se han difundido tanto en nuestro país como en el exterior, recibiendo premios y /o menciones en diversos concursos de composición: Juan Carlos Paz - Fondo Nacional de las Artes, años 2004, 2005, 2007 y 2008, el Vox Novus (Nueva York), IMEB Bourges (Francia), OVC Call for Works (Nueva york), TRIME 2007, Orquesta Academica del Teatro Colon, Sonoimágenes 2006, Virtú Maragno, Ochenta Mundos / BAU records, Concurso Nacional de Composición de la Universidad de Quilmes, entre otros.

En 2004 crea , junto a Santiago Diez y Adolfo Kaplan, el colectivo internacional de artistas Projet Itinerant, difundiendo sus obras en 12 paises.
Ha recibido becas, subsidios, invitaciones y/o apoyo de instituciones como el OV Alliance (Nueva York), el BIT20 ENSEMBLE (Noruega), Stresa EARLAB 08 (Italia), la Fondation Royaumont (Paris, Francia),  Atlantic Center for the Arts (EEUU), Fondo para las Artes de Dinamarca, Ineract 2006 (Dinamarca), Secretaría de Cultura de la Nación, Fundacion Mozarteum, Groupe de Recherches Musicales (Radio France, Paris, Francia), Embajada de Francia en Argentina, Cancillería de la Nación, Fundación Antorchas, el Fondo Nacional de las Artes, la CECH (Chile), beca de estudios con el Maestro Francisco Kropfl y al mejor promedio de la UCA.

Matias Giuliani (1975) was educated at UCA University of Argentina where he completed his studies in both Composition and Choral Conducting at the end of 2002.  His composition teachers were Jorge Sad, Julio Viera, Marta Lambertini and Francisco Kropfl.
Giuliani's works for electronic and acoustic media have been performed in Argentina and abroad (France, Spain, Chile, Ecuador, Denmark, Lithuania, Cuba, England, México, Germany, Greece, USA, Austria, Scotland & New Zealand).

He teaches at the Buenos Aires City Conservatory, the National University of Lanus and Composition at the Contemporary Music Course of Manuel De Falla Conservatory. He obteined the Juan Carlos Paz Composition Competition 2004 & 2008 (1st prize), J.C.Paz Composition Competition 2005 & 2007 (mentions),  the TRIME 07 competition (participating in ISCM 08 (Lituania), the Teatro Colon Academic Orchestra Composition Competition (1st prize), the Virtu Maragno Composition Competition (mention), BAU Records Composition Competition, SONOIMAGENES Composition Competition (2nd prize)

He received support from Danish Arts Foundings (Interact 2006 workshop, Denmark), the Antorchas Foundation fellowship, the Fondo Nacional de las Artes fellowship, the Mozarteum Foundation support, the Groupe de Recherches Musicales residence (GRM-INA, France) , the EARLAB 08 Workshop invitation with Luca Francesconi (Norway & Italy), the Fondation Royaumont Composers Residence (France), Open Video Conference invitation (NYC, USA), Secretaria de Cultura de la Presidencia de la Nación Fellowship, Atlantic Center for the Arts Fellowship (USA), Scholarship for Excellence in Composition (UCA, Arg.), composition scholarship with Professor Kropfl, Quilmes University Competition 2002 (1st prize).
